Requirements
Anyone can Work from Home using this platform. To start, all you need is a few items. Here are the prerequesites:
Computer Operating System
- Intel i class or better, or AMD APU class or better, clocked at Dual-core 1.4 GHz or better. Note: ARM based processors are not supported. Examples: Microsoft Surface and Chrome OS based PC’s.
- 20 GB minimum of available space. 30 GB or more is recommended.
- 60 GM minimum of total space. 60 GB or more is recommended.
- 4 GM of RAM or more. 8 GB of RAM is recommended.
- Windows 10 works, but Windows 11 is highly recommended.
Standard Connection and Speed
- PC MUST be hard-wired via Ethernet connection of at least CAT6. Although CAT8 gives a better service experience. Absolutely NO WI-FI.
- Minimum 10 mbps download. 30 mbps download is recommended.
- Minimum 3 mbps upload. 10 mbps upload is recommended.
- Maximum Latency Threshold of 120 ms. 50 ms or better is ideal.
Monitor
- 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) screen resolution. 1920 x 1080 (Full HD or 1080p is optimal.
- Dual monitors, or a large monitor with split screens are required for some programs. Although, with some positions, 3 monitors may work even better.
Ports
- USB 3.0 Ports. Required for use with USB headset and flash drive.
Unsupported Items
- Netbooks, Chromebooks, tablets and other mobile devices.
- macOS (Mac OS X).
Note: These are the basic requirements to Work From Home on this platform. However, the client may request additional requirements. Please view the Opportunity Announcement carefully for details regarding each position.
Other Requirements/Recommendations
- A smartphone or other mobile device for multifactor authentication and other security. Mobile phones CANNOT be used to service.
- A hardwired USB headset.
- Hardwired keyboard and mouse.
- Hardwired broadband internet service via DSL, cable, or fiber optic connection.
This looks like a lot, but must computer systems meet the above minimum requirements. In addition, a PC scan is on the portal to determine if your current setup passes the requirements. It is a recommendation that you not get any additional equipment until you run this test.
Training
OK. So you think you have all of the right equipment, now what? Each opportunity provides training in an online classroom environment. Classes are about 4 weeks long, and are usually paid for by the client. Depending on the offer, there may be “earn while you learn” for part of the classroom experience.
